TSTF has been working to uplift, educate and advocate for AA students and families in Seattle Public Schools since 2012.
We worked at SouthLake from 2011 to 2016 providing the BOMB program for at risk AA girls 9-12 grades.
We provided Virtues Empowerment trainings for over 100 Seattle Park and Rec staff members youth and adults.
As apart of THS and SYVPI we provided the BOMB mentoring classes for at risk youth for boys and girls in middle school and high school. 2015-2018
2019 we started our prevention work in the Renton School District through funding with CCER. Our work centered the BOMB mentorship for 4th and 5th grade girls for a Roadmap to success. We have continued the work with our youth and families in Renton School District and have grown. We provide: The BOMB, lil dribbler Basketball, Robotics/Stem Learning, lil Gardeners and Arts and Crafts.
On My Grind
OMG (On My Grind) is a 5 week job readiness program which is an interactive training program that challenges our youth to think about how to market the skills they have and want to grow in the real world. We invite and encourage our youth to think outside of the box as entrepreneurs, volunteers and community members.
