The WIC Community Advocate serves as a vital community liaison responsible for increasing awareness, access, and participation in WIC services for eligible families throughout Seattle. This role focuses on conducting outreach, educating individuals and families on WIC benefits, nutrition, breastfeeding, and healthy habits, assisting participants with eligibility and enrollment processes, and connecting families to essential support services such as healthcare, housing, and food security resources. The advocate also builds strong partnerships with community organizations, represents the program at outreach events, and ensures participants receive compassionate, culturally responsive support that promotes maternal and child health. This position plays a key role in advancing equitable access to services while supporting the mission of The Silent Task Force to provide holistic, community-centered care.
